The username must be unique to each BOFA user.
Parents
Each parent must have a unique username and also needs to receive receipts and notifications, as such an email address is required. If you need to reset this then go to the Forgotten your password? page.
Pupils
Pupils do NOT need an email address for their username.
- Good examples of usernames are: baines1234, andrew234 etc.
- Bad examples of usernames are: baines, andrew etc.
But if they have one they can request a new password in the same way a parent or tutor can using the Forgotten your password? page. Otherwise they will need the parent or tutor to change it form their account.
Teachers
In a school account, it is possible to have usernames which are not email addresses but we advise you to use an email address whenever possible. It has been found that pupils will use the excuse, “I have forgotten my password.” Which is not an issue with an email address as all email address users can reset their password using the “forgotten your password?” link.
