All 4 grammar schools in Bournemouth and Poole share the same entrance exams, and as such pupils need only take one, and results will be shared with the other schools. The exam is set by GL Assessment, and the pass mark is not known as scores are standardised. The subjects covered are English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning. In terms of the level of the tests, they are set at Key Stage 2 Level 5, with some questions pushing the boundaries into Level 6. All questions are given in a multiple choice format.
